The Halstead Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival is rapidly approaching! The date for the Halstead Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival is October 20th, and exciting new changes are in store this year. The Festival will not only hold The Biggest Little High School Art Competition in South Central Kansas but will also feature the student s art work available for sale. This will be in addition to the many adult artists and craftsmen that will show and sell their wares.

Once again, seminars will be available in the morning and afternoon. The presenters are:
- Beth VanAtta in stone sculpture
- Kent Mayfield in caricatures
- Maggie Garman in pysanky (Ukranian Easter Eggs)
- Bearden s Stained Glass
- John Back of Designs by John in floral arranging
- and Tina Murano in glass tile mosaic.
Festival Shoppers are welcome to attend the seminars, and may sign up the day of the Festival.
Fine Arts & Crafts Festival Exhibitor Information
Over $3000 Given in Prize Money!
- Fees are $35 for each 10x12 foot site
- All booth spaces will be indoors (outdoor booths on request)
- No commission will be charged
- All work is exhibited at owner's risk
- Sales tax is the responsibility of the exhibitor
- All items must be hand made by artist and photo requested of arts and crafts
- Let us know if you need electricity; a limited number of outlets are available
- Bring your own tables; a limited number of tables are available for a $7 rental fee
- Judging will begin promptly at 10:00 AM
- Set up begins at 6:00 AM

Held in conjunction with the Arts & Crafts Festival is the The Biggest Little High School Art Competition in South Central Kansas. Jefferson West, Atchison, Stafford, Wellington, Halstead, Wichita Northeast Magnet, Hutchinson and Sedgwick High Schools brought students and art work for competition throughout the day in 2007. |
